When comparing toner pad jars, it is easy to begin with the number printed beside the package: 100ml, 150ml, 200ml or 250ml.
But for pre-soaked toner pads, nominal capacity alone does not tell you how many pads a jar will hold or whether the pack will suit your product. A jar for smaller, thinner pads does not need the same internal space as a jar for wider or thicker pads, even when both products contain the same number of pieces.
A more useful starting point is the toner pad itself: pad diameter, pad thickness, target pad count and the final stack after the pads are saturated with essence. Those four points tell you much more about the space the pack needs than a milliliter number on its own.
Start With Pad Diameter Before Jar Capacity
Pad diameter determines the minimum space the package needs across its width. A wider toner pad needs enough usable internal width to sit naturally inside the jar, and the opening also needs to make sense for the pad format.
This is why a jar that looks large enough from the outside is not automatically the right fit. The outside diameter, wall construction and opening can all differ from the space that is actually available to the pads.
Instead of asking “Should I choose 150ml or 200ml?” first, ask a more useful question: What internal width and opening does this pad actually need?

Pad Thickness and Pad Count Build the Stack Height
Diameter tells you how much width is needed. Thickness and pad count determine how tall the stack becomes.
Two products can both contain 60 toner pads and still need different jars if one pad is noticeably thicker than the other. The same is true when the pad itself stays unchanged but the piece count increases.
That is why there is no reliable universal rule such as “60 pads equal one fixed jar size” or “80 pads always need a larger capacity.” The actual pad construction still matters.

Look at the Wet Stack, Not Only the Dry Pads
A finished toner pad product is not simply a stack of dry discs placed into an empty jar. The pack also contains essence, and the pads settle into their real packed condition after saturation.
For packaging selection, the useful reference is therefore the complete wet stack inside the usable jar space, not only the dry pads on a table. This does not mean choosing an oversized jar. It means comparing the pack against the product in the condition in which it will actually be sold.
Usable Internal Space Matters More Than the Outside Appearance
Two toner pad jars can look similar from the outside but provide different usable internal space. Body shape, wall construction, lid design, an inner cup, inserts, tweezer storage or other components can all take up room.
A nominal 150ml capacity is therefore best treated as an initial size reference, not as a promise that every 150ml jar will hold the same pad stack.

This is why pad diameter, usable internal width and opening size should be reviewed together rather than treated as three unrelated specifications.
Why Two 150ml Toner Pad Projects May Need Different Solutions
Imagine two skincare brands both start by asking for a 150ml toner pad jar.
The first uses a relatively small, thin pad with a moderate piece count. The second uses a wider, thicker pad and wants more pieces in the pack. On a specification sheet, both projects may appear to need the same capacity. In practice, their space requirements are different.
The first may fit comfortably into a compact internal layout. The second may need more usable height, more width around the pad or a different opening. This is exactly why the capacity number helps narrow the range but should not make the final decision by itself.
How to Think About 100ml, 150ml, 200ml and Larger Toner Pad Jars

A square jar may offer flatter side panels. A round jar creates a different silhouette. An oval or more distinctive form can change the visual direction again. Those differences are useful after you know the actual pad stack works inside the pack.
A Simple Way to Narrow the Jar Size
You do not need to begin with a long packaging specification. Start with four practical pieces of information:
- pad diameter;
- pad thickness;
- target pad count;
- the final stack in its intended wet condition.
Then compare the closest jar options by usable internal width, usable height, opening and internal components. At that point, 100ml, 150ml or 200ml becomes a meaningful packaging reference instead of an isolated number.
The Best Toner Pad Jar Is Not Simply the Largest One
Choosing a toner pad jar is not about finding the biggest available capacity. It is about matching the package to the product inside.
Pad diameter affects the width you need. Pad thickness and count build the stack height. Essence changes the final packed condition. The jar opening and usable internal space determine how that stack fits into the package.
Once those relationships are clear, capacity, shape, material and access structure become much easier to compare without guessing.
